We have been managing vacation rentals on Maui for 20 years combined. While there are many vacation rentals to choose from, we would often hear complaints through the "coconut wireless" from off-island visitors. Folks would expect their perfect vacation in paradise, only to find that where they are staying - and WHO they had worked with - were misleading, unhelpful, and not what they expected!
